IMPORTANCE OF GOALS FOR THE STRATEGIC PLANNING
The Goals are important because they define the procedures adequate to achieve the goals. Moreover the objectives are the guide for the organization to obtain and apply the resources to get better benefits, the members of the organization carrying out activities and make decisions consistent with the objectives and procedures chosen because it focuses the attention of employees on the objectives to generate results that can be controlled to achieve the same.
These are of great importance as it helps us to set priorities, to concentrate on the strengths of the organization, helps to address the problems of changes in the external environment, among others. On the other hand, there are several forces that can affect strategic planning as are unexpected events, the psychological resistance to change and that will accelerate change and unrest, the existence of insufficient information, lack of skill in the use of planning methods and the high costs involved in these, among others.
